For this project, we converted a typical small Toronto backyard into a backyard oasis in the middle of the city.

The CHallenge
We were dealing with a small, confined space in the backyard, a challenge many Toronto homeowners face. The owners wanted some grassy areas and a deck, a garden area and some additional storage, while still making it feel open and airy.
The Solution
We created separate areas within the backyard. On the decking we included glass railing to make it feel more open, and an elevated platform for two separate storage areas, flanked with garden beds to also create an open feeling.
The Results
Overall, the project was a success, transforming a typical small Toronto backyard into an oasis in the middle of the city, with thoughtful design and effective use of limited space.
We created a beautiful, airy back yard with enough storage for bikes, tires and other necessities that need to be tucked away. We also created a garden in the front of the home with a raised flower bed, and increased the size of the driveway for enough space for a basketball net.
